His Excellency, Barrister Abdul Raheem Adebayo Lawal, today joined other top government officials in Abuja representing Governor Seyi Makinde at the National Council of State meeting, the country’s highest advisory body.
The high-level meeting, presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, witnessed the presence of serving Governors from across the federation. Those unable to attend in person were represented by their deputies.
Also in attendance were former Heads of State and Presidents, as well as retired Chief Justices of Nigeria, adding significant weight and experience to the deliberations.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the approval of the nomination of Professor Joash Amupitan as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
