A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oorelope Local Government Area, Ladoja Yakubu, on Monday, paid a courtesy call on Oyo Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, at the Governor’s office in Ibadan.
The visit, aimed at strengthening the party and uniting leaders in the Oke-Ogun zone ahead of the 2027 election, also had in attendance, the Special Adviser to Governor Makinde on Legislative Matters, Hon. Adejuwon also known as Agbarapo.
The team commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s sterling leadership and the Deputy Governor’s administrative acumen in Oke-ogun zone.
The PDP chieftain expressed the team’s unwavering loyalty and alignment with the party’s core ideals, while passing a vote of confidence on Governor Makinde.
However, speaking with newsmen, Jimoh Adisa Olabisi (JAO) noted that the team was impressed by the significant developmental efforts underway across the Oke-Ogun zone, including infrastructure development, road rehabilitation, education improvements, and agriculture.
He specifically commended Governor Makinde and his Deputy for promoting internal democracy, party unity, and progressive governance.

Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, commending his leadership in the senatorial district and efforts to strengthen party unity ahead of the 2027 election. We also want to express our vote of confidence in Governor Seyi Makinde’s visionary leadership, particularly in advancing the Oke-Ogun zone.
“We pledge our continuous support for the current administration and commit to moving the party forward in Oorelope Local Government. Our focus is on putting the party in a better shape, and we’ll continue to support Governor Makinde’s initiatives.”
