The Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, has joined well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond in celebrating the 90th birthday of His Eminence, Sheikh Abubakri Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland and Grand Imam of Oyo State.
In a press statement released on Sunday, Aare Musulumi described Sheikh Agbotomokekere as a “spiritual colossus” and a rare embodiment of piety, humility, wisdom, and unrelenting devotion to the cause of Islam and the Muslim Ummah.
> “Baba Agbotomokekere has, through the mercy of Allah, become a towering symbol of spiritual authority and moral clarity in our society. His leadership has been marked by wisdom, patience, and a tireless pursuit of harmony within the Ummah and the larger society,” Akinola said.
The nonagenarian cleric, who also serves as Grand Patron of the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, was lauded for his decades of service, spiritual leadership, and unmatched influence on generations of Muslims.
Aare Musulumi offered heartfelt prayers on behalf of the Muslim community, asking Almighty Allah to continue preserving the revered scholar in good health and strengthen him in faith.
