In his continuous efforts to advance technology in Nigeria, the Director General of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP), Joseph Tegbe, engaged in high-level investment discussions with the leadership team of Huawei Technologies to enhance collaboration on the country’s digital transformation.
The discussions took place during the technical sessions of the 2025 Mobile World Congress (MWC), where Tegbe and his Nigerian delegation actively participated.
During the meeting with Mr. Tony Bao, Huawei’s Vice President, and Mr. Hover Gao, President of the Sub-Saharan Africa Region, Huawei Technologies reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating Nigeria’s digital transformation.
Tegbe also emphasized the need to balance innovation and the risks associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in today’s evolving technological landscape. He stressed that while innovation must be encouraged, regulatory frameworks should remain flexible and adaptable to ensure responsible AI adoption.
