Former Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal, is in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged fraudulent cash withdrawals totalling N189 billion. The withdrawals are said to contravene the Money Laundering (Prevention & Prohibition) Act, 2022.
