The oyo state Commissioner for Information Prince Dotun Oyelade has reacted to the ambition of Governor Seyi Makinde to become the next president of Nigeria next year.
‘If not him, who and if not now, when’ the Commissioner asked.
He said Governor Makinde has proved his mettle in oyo state for the past 7 years and even the Federal Government and some states have emulated some of his governance policies like the effective response during Covid in 2020, his quick responses to workers’ financial plight , his IGR expansion strategy that has raised the bar from a paltry 26.5bn in 2019 to 103bn in 2026 by the expansion of the economy without extra taxation on businesses and investors and his fiscal disposition that has made people to wonder how he finances so many infrastructural projects at the same time.
Prince Dotun Oyelade said that Governor Seyi Makinde is strategically poised to wrestling power from President Bola Tinubu because our people are not intimidated by the coercion of state governors and national assembly members to join the ruling party.
He added that power belongs to the people and with the groundswell of like minds all over the country, victory is sure.
