The Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the successful delivery of two surveillance aircraft, describing the development as another landmark achievement in the administration’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.
Speaking on the arrival of the aircraft, Prince Oyelade said Governor Makinde has once again demonstrated that true leadership is measured by action, not empty promises or political propaganda.
According to him, “Governor Seyi Makinde has never been distracted by the noise of political antagonists. His focus has always been on delivering good governance and fulfilling the promises he made to the people of Oyo State. The delivery of these two surveillance aircraft is a clear demonstration of responsible leadership and strategic investment in the security of our people.”
The Commissioner noted that while some critics continue to spread misleading narratives and cast doubt on the government’s commitment to security, the Makinde administration remained steadfast in implementing practical solutions to address security challenges across the state.
“There were those who claimed the government was not doing enough. There were those who said the procurement was a fluke one year ago when the procurement plan was made well before the Oriire incident which happened May 15 this year.
He added that the Governor’s approach to governance has consistently been defined by transparency, accountability, and the determination to deliver projects that directly impact the lives of the people.
Prince Oyelade urged residents not to be distracted by politically motivated misinformation but to continue supporting the administration as it consolidates on its achievements in security, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic development.
“History will always remember leaders by their achievements, not by the volume of propaganda against them. Governor Seyi Makinde has continued to prove that performance remains the strongest response to criticism. The people of Oyo State can see the difference, and they know that this administration is committed to building a safer and more prosperous state for all,” he said.
The Commissioner reaffirmed that the Oyo State Government would continue to invest in modern security infrastructure and work closely with security agencies to ensure that every part of the state remains safe for residents and investors alike.
