The Oyo State Government has urged residents to make use of designated emergency contact numbers for prompt response to security incidents, accidents, and other emergencies across the state.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, residents can contact the Nigeria Police Control Room through 08081768614 or 07055495413 in cases requiring urgent police intervention.
The government also encouraged residents to utilize the state’s toll-free emergency response line, 615, for immediate assistance during emergencies.
Prince Oyelade explained that the emergency lines are available for reporting crimes, security threats, road accidents, and other situations requiring swift attention from relevant authorities.
He reiterated the commitment of the Oyo State Government to the safety and security of all residents and urged members of the public to promptly report emergencies through the designated channels.
The commissioner further appealed to residents to use the numbers responsibly and cooperate with security agencies and emergency responders in ensuring a safe and secure environment across the state.
