Ahead of April 8 deadline, stakeholders and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan South‑West local government area of Oyo state have concluded the screening exercise of aspirants vying for the Oyo state House of Assembly seats in constituency 1 and constituency 2, as the party moves closer to its  consensus nomination deadline for the forthcoming general elections.

The exercise, put in place under the guidance of party leaders across the 12 wards of Ibadan South-west local government was held in accordance with directives from the state leadership of the PDP, headed by Governor Seyi Makinde, who had at a stakeholders meeting held recently, charged party stakeholders with ensuring a credible, transparent and consultative selection process.

Speaking earlier, PDP chairman in Ibadan South‑West local government, Hon.
