Makinde’s SA, Moses Alao, Thanks Gov For Approving Construction Of 30km Igboho-Kisi Road

Special Assistant on Print Media to Governor Seyi Makinde, Moses Alao, has expressed gratitude to the governor for approving the construction of the 30km Igboho-Kisi Road.
Alao described the approval as a dream come true for the teeming people of Oorelope Local Government, Irepo Local Government and neighbouring communities, noting that Governor Makinde has proven that he is a promise keeper.
According to the governor’s aide, the Igboho-Igbope-Kisi Road has been in a deplorable state for over two decades, with successive administrations paying no attention to it.
Alao, a journalist of many years standing, pointed out how he once took up the immediate past governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, on the state of the road in 2014, during an interview with the Nigerian Tribune, where he, Alao, worked for over a decade.
He noted that the promise by Governor Makinde to construct the road was a heart-warming development, saying that naysayers who thought it was just a campaign gimmick, can now rest, with the approval of the project at Wednesday’s Executive Council meeting marking the beginning of a new era for the people of Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency.
He said: “The news of the approval of the construction of the 30km Kisi-Igboho Road is the best piece of news in the media space today, at least for the good people of Oorelope and Irepo Local Government Areas.
“I appreciate my Principal and Leader, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for being a serial promise keeper. This approval is another feather to his cap as the engineer of modern Oyo State and an apostle of inclusive governance.
“On behalf of my people, the good people of Oorelope Local Government, I say thank you to the governor for delivering landmark infrastructure projects in Igboho and its environs.
“The governor has done many wonders in my area with regards to infrastructure development, the 44km Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho Road, which has reached Modeke, Igboho was the first of many. The approval of the 30km Kisi-Igboho Road is another.
“With these roads, the governor has not only been keeping up with his time-tested credibility as Mr Infrastructure, he has also succeeded with his plan to transform the economies of the rural centres.
“The governor did say that he would link the economies of Kisi, Igboho, Igbeti to that of Saki, and thereby transform the economies of those areas, this approval and the completion of the Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho Road will achieve that objective.
“Words will fail me if I were to continue, but I will only say that the people of Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Constituency will always be grateful to the governor and will always support the PDP government that developed the area, which had been abandoned for years.”
