The Deputy Governor of Oyo State,Barr.Abdul Raheem Adebayo Lawal today in Abuja described the successful fixing of the people’s Democratic Party’s convention ,slated to hold in Ibadan next month as a big breakthrough for the party.
Barr.Lawal who was addressing the inaugural meeting of the convention venue sub-committee at Legacy House,Abuja noted that with the breakthrough,what is left for the party is to make a huge success of the programme
The Oyo State Deputy Governor who is also the chairman of the venue sub-committee said, the party looked good to wrestle the country from the misrule of the Governing APC.
He implored party members to work assiduously for the success of not only the convention slated for the 15th and 16th of November but also the 2027 general elections.
Barr. Lawal who noted that there were challenges for the party pointed out that the challenges were surmountable.
He thanked the commended the leadership of the party for their commitment to reposition the party for greater success in the months ahead.
The committee which came up with 10 sub sub committees is expected to prepare befitting venues for the November convention.
