British Airways captain on £170,000 a year keeps job despite being caught stealing food at airlines headquarters.

He was among light-fingered senior managers who were hauled in for questioning before escaping with a warning.
The culprits were caught on CCTV nicking food and coffee from the airline’s Waterside flight operations hub near Heathrow.
They piled up trays from a self-service “pavement café”, which sells sausage rolls and sandwiches, as well as chocolate and crisps, but left without paying.
The training captain was marched into meetings with company bosses.
He was grilled over why he had repeatedly failed to use the self-pay til on repeated
occasions.
The veteran flyer was given a dressing down for his conduct — but allowed to continue flying.

He is a specialist in flying four-engine Airbus A380s, which carry up to 469 passengers on long-haul trips.
A source said: “His behaviour left bosses dumbfounded. Anyone can make a mistake once but this was a deliberate act repeated regularly.
“It beggars belief someone on £170,000 a year could shoplift and save himself a few pennies on a daily basis.
“Several senior managers were also seen refusing to pay for food and coffee — and given a warning over their future conduct.
