Workers Day: Ilaka Celebrates With Labour Charges Them To Make Excellence Their Watch Word.
Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka has described workers in Oyo state as the engine room that has consistently powered the development of the state, while urging them to make excellence their watch word in other to increase their productivity.
Ilaka’s remarks was contained in a media statement made available on Saturday to celebrate 2023 workers day in the state.
Ilaka a seasoned politician explained that successes recorded so far in the administration of governor Seyi Makinde were as a result of the Industrial harmony provided by the state organised labour, noting that this harmony is a reflection If the governor’s commitment to workers welfare in the state.
Ilaka an England trained lawyer, while commending Nigerian workers and Oyo state especially noted ” I Join billions of workers all over the world to celebrate your passion, dedication and patriotism. May Day, represents a day of deep appreciation of all you have done in furtherance of the vision of growth and development of governor Seyi Makinde.
Ilaka who was the former Chief of Staff to governor Makinde said ” On this Labour Day, let us celebrate the achievements of workers around the world and renew our commitment to creating a more just and equitable society for all. May the spirit of solidarity and unity that defines the labor movement inspire us all to work together towards a brighter future.”
Lastly, Ilaka called on Oyo state labour Unions to continue to reciprocate the good intentions of Governor Makinde towards them by increasing their productivity.
