Tenure Extension: Oorelope Council Boss, Yaqub Adesola, Flags Off Street Lighting, Expresses Gratitude To Makinde

Following the tenure extension for all Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) in Oyo state, the Caretaker Chairman of Oorelope Local Government, Yaqub Adesola popularly called Tasoolo, has expressed gratitude to the executive governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde, over the tenure extension for all the 33 local governments and 35 LCDAs.

Hon Adesola, while speaking journalists over the development on Sunday, described governor Makinde as a builder of men who is an advocate of merit based reward adding that the governor is the true Awolowo of this era with the way and manner he is building the younger generation for leadership roles.

He said that the tenure extension by governor Makinde was a call for more commitment and dedication to do more for the people of Oorelope local government.

“I feel very humble to be part of this noble course of our father and leader, the executive governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde, for not only the privilege to serve my people at the grassroots but keeping faith in us by further extending our tenure.

“As far as I’m concerned, this is a clear call to be more dedicated and committed to service of the people, it has placed a demand on our shoulders to replicate the excellent performance of the governor at our various local governments and LCDAs.

Meanwhile, Sunrisebulletin.com gathered that the Oorelope council boss has replicated governor Seyi Makinde’s ‘Light Up Ibadan’ project in his local government by flagging off installation of Solar street light across selected locations at Oorelope LG.

He explained that his administration in preparation to explore the boundless opportunities Oyo state government’s agribusiness revolution portends, has repaired damaged tractors that will be made available to farmers at government subsidized rates.

He also expressed his appreciation to the deputy governor of Oyo state, Engr Rauf Olaniyan, who he described as father and a mentor, for providing needed leadership and guidance which is evident in the accelerated development at the local government area.

Honourable Tasoolo, as he is fondly called however, assured that his administration will justify the trust reposed on him by governor Seyi Makinde by living above board to bring about the desired physical development at the local government.
