The Oyo State PDP gubernatorial candidate, Engineer Seyi Makinde has promised that if voted into power come May 29 will invest into the economy of Iseyin local government by giving them an higher institution before the end of his four year term.
Seyi Makinde made this promise Monday, while speaking at the palace of the Aseyin of Iseyin Oba Abudulganiyu Adekinle, when tyebpeople’s Democratic Party campaign team visited Iseyin Local government area of the state.
Makinde while affirming his readiness to transform the local government economically and infrastructurally noted that he is not like some fraudulent, greedy and selfish politician who when canvassing for vote promised heaven and earth but failed when given the mandate., adding that,he will govern with the fear of God and his administration will not be partial .
Seyi Makinde while Canvasing for the support of resident of Iseyin pleaded with the monarch to help sensitize the people based in the zone against vote buying and selling and the hazards associated there in especially in a transition period .
The Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba AbdulGaniyu Adekunle while welcoming the members of the people Democratic Party and their candidates pleaded with them to do things in a peaceful manner and also shun violence before , during and after the elections.
Meanwhile , the campaign trail also visited members of the Christian association of nigeria , the chief Imam and the council of traditional worshipers at LG to let them into their plans for the zone and also seek their blessings ahead of the elections.
Makinde while explaining further on the reason for the visit, said four years ago when he came out to contest , one of his major agenda was to address the issue of poverty ,however four years after the situation have gone from just bad to extremely worst,.
While adding that the rate of unemployment in the state is on the rise daily ,he said security of lives and property of residents is being challenged as residents are short-changed by the present administration.
While blaming the APC government for the failure and condition the state is at the moment, a government he attributed as a government of deceit , he said that his. Administration will tackle the issue of poverty headlong If votes into power,
In the same vein, he pleaded for support of resident of the local government and the state in general to vote all PDP candidates from the federal to the state level for restructuring and positive transformation of the country generally.
