Senator Sunmonu Gets Accolades From Friends, Political Associates And Family At An Event To Mark Her 60th Birthday.
Senator Olajumoke Aduke Monsurat Sunmonu, representing Oyo Central senatorial district was yesterday celebrated by friends, families, political associates and well wishers at a colourful event to mark her 60th birthday yesterday.
The event tagged “Celebrating Quintessence of a Heroine ” was well attended by members of the Africa Democratic Congress ADC, friends, families and well wishers, many of whom described Senator Sunmonu, as a humble and good fearing woman.
Highlight of the event was a lecture presented by Ustaz Habeeb Busari, a renowned Islamic scholar, who urged all to emulate the good qualities of the celebrant.
Amongst dignitaries present at the event included Wasiu Alaran deputy governorship candidate of the Africa Democratic Congress, Rt Hon. Kehinde Ayoola former speaker Oyo state, Abudulwasi Musa deputy speaker Oyo state, Hon Segun Olaleye, Yemi Aderibigbe, party leaders from various local governments across the state also attended. marking the 60th birthday amongst whom are Baba Ajibade from Saki West, Baba Zakariyawu and Alhaji Lawal Adigun from Iwajowa and Irepo local government respectively. Also present is Ayaba Barrister Mojisola Adeyemi, wife of Alafin of Oyo. Also present is Alhaji Nureni Sumonu biological brother of the celebrant and Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, who added pomp and class to the event.
Earlier Ustaz Busari had led prayers for the blessings of Allah on Senator Sunmonu who is presently at Saudi Arabia to perform the lesser hajj.
Some of the guest who spoke to sunrisebulletin.com remarked that Senator Monsurat is a pleasant and wonderful person who cares about her people. Asiwaju Aderibigbe described her as an epitome of humility, while Wasiu Alaran said she is the mother of All.
