Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari on friday commissioned a modern ICT centre and a block of classroom in Iseyin
The projects were part of the conatituency project facilitated as a Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial district at the upper chamber of the National Assembly
Earlier in the day, the lawmaker had joined Hon Niyi Adeagbo to distribute multimillion Naira empowerment materials to the people of Itesiwaju local government.
Speaking at the event, the APC Chieftain said the ICT centre is one of the four modern centres facilitated to his constituency. adding that another set of ICT centres were facilitated for 13 local government accross the Senatorial district
” The essence is to create a platform where younger people especially the students can learn and acquire ICT knowlegde and develop skills that will enhance their education pursuit.”
” The world is going digital and everybody irrespective of status needs to be computer literate and one of the way through which can help our people to be literate is to bring the facilities closer to the people. ”
” Before now people from this part of the state do go to Ibadan to learnabout ICT, those writing computer based exams also have to move to a nearby city to learn but with this now people can learn and practice CBT in preparetion exams”.
Party chieftain and community leaders including Chief Oladimeji Wasiu state commissioner for works , Alhaji Kewusola APC Senatorial chairman in Oyo north and others lauded the lawmaker for his genuine contribution to the senatorial district
