Security: Oyo Assembly Assures Of Collaboration With Vigilante Group Of Nigeria – Oyo State Commander, Olajide Sunday

A high powered delegation of vigilante group of Nigeria (VGL), Oyo state chapter led by its Oyo state commander, Mr. Oljide Sunday Ayodele has paid a working visit to the Speaker, Oyo state house of assembly Rgt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin on Monday in Ibadan, where issues bothering on security of the state particularly the rural areas where there have shortcomings in the security of lives and properties of the people.

 

The vigilante group is seeking collaboration with the state government in the area of empowerment to enable its members as local vigilante group who have been working as volunteers for so long to have better facilities such as special motorcycles to navigate through forests where the bandits are making their hideout, he noted that the collaboration with the state government will further strengthens its capabilities as well as motivates its members and others who may wish to join the group for a voluntary service to their fatherland as security situation in the country is daily getting worse.

 

Mr. Olajide expressed excitement at the reception and recognition given to the group by the Rgt honourable speaker, noting that it shows people in the rural communities are feeling the impact and importance of the group in the state, Mr. Olajide however thanked the hon. Speaker for his dedication and commitment towards helping governor Seyi Makinde pursue his security agenda for the state, he affirmed the group’s continious cooperation and working relationship with all government security agencies while expressing optimism that result of the security talks the speaker will further enhance security in the state.
