Ramadan: Oyo RUWASSA Chairman Engr. Najeem Omirinde Felicitate With Muslims, Urges Residents To Reach Out To One Another

The Chairman Oyo state Rural Water Supply And Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) Engr. Najeem Omirinde has felicitated with the Muslim faithfuls across the state on the occasion of year 2020 Ramadhan which commenced on Friday (yesterday) across the world.

The executive chairman of the agency, Engr Najeem OMIRINDE, in a statement he personally signed and made available to Sunrisebulletin.com, stated that the month of Ramadan is a special period for all Muslims across the world as it affords people the privilege to fulfil one Allah’s commandment.

He said Muslim faithfuls across Oyo state are expected to intensify prayers during this Ramadhan in unison to God on behalf of the state government in order to defeat the scourge of corona virus pandemic in the state.

Engr Ominrinde, urged Muslims to use the occasion of the holy month to reach out to one another regardless of religious affiliations stressing that this period is a time to show love and affection to one another as commanded by Allah irrespective of tribe, political inclination, or religious faith.

According to the statement by the Agency, every situation like this portends its blessings and lessons adding that it behooves on the people to look beyond how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting the state and begin to focus on the lessons of what was described as ‘dark period of this era’.

Engr Ominrinde lauded the executive governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde and the state COVID-19 Taskforce for their logical and scientific approach to combating the pandemic stressing that it has so far proved to be one of the most effective in the country within available statistics.

The agency however charged residents to continue praying for the success of the present administration as it continues fighting to curb spread of the disease while ensuring adequate welfare of the people while staying at home and maintaining all health guidelines.

He also felicitated with the Okere of Saki Oba Kahlid Olabisi, the Chief Imam of Saki and the Saki Muslim community.
