Ramadan: IBSELG Boss Pastor Alawode Appeals To Muslim Philanthropist..
As Muslims in Ibadan South East Local Govt join their counterparts in the nation to begin Ramadan fasting, the Council Caretaker Chairman, Pastor Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode has urged Muslim Philanthropists in the local govt to use this period to reach out to the less privileged and others who have been economically affected by Convid19 in the local govt area .
The Council helmsman said this in his goodwill message to the Muslim community in the local govt.
Pastor Alawode said, Ramadan period could be well spent if the season is mainly dedicated for prayerd, sharing and giving to the less privileged, where tenet of Zakat comes in.
He further appealed to all Muslims in the local govt to be their brothers keeper by helping the needy in the council during and beyond Ramadan period .
Speaking further, Pastor Alawode commended all religious leaders, Community leaders and the entire people of the local govt for abiding with govt orders and medical instructions on prevention and spreading of Convid19, and then urged the Islamic faithful in the council areas to use the Period to seek for Allah’s divine favour to see us through this season and beyond. He said, May Allah accept our prayers and forgive our shortcomings.
