Dr. Muhammad Kola Balogun of the People’s Democratic Party has emerged as the Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, defeating the incumbent governor of the state senator Isiaka Ajimobi of the All Progressive Congress and the incumbent Senator Soji Akanbi of the Africa Democratic Congress.
According to results released by INEC Balogun came tops with 105,716, while Ajimobi came second with 92,218.
Dr Balogun in a brief chat with journalist said he will use this opportunity given to him to serve God and humanity while expressing deep appreciation to God and the people of Ibadan South Senatorial District.
