The Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State has met with the 28 Newly elected members of the State House of Assembly.
The meeting which took place at the State Headquarters of the Party at Molete Ibadan on Thursday 11th of May 2023 was called for the purposes of interaction and to assure the members of the continual support of the Party on their Democratic and People centred policies, laws and programs.
You will recall that the ruling Party in Oyo State recorded an unprecedented victory in the last state House of Assembly polls winning 28 out of 32 available seats in the State.
The State Chairman of the Party, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro while addressing the members elect admonished them to work hand in hand with the Governor in ensuring that the good work he has started continues and brought to the point of sustainability.
He also encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the Party and very loyal supporters of the good governance of Governor Seyi Makinde.
The Chairman preached peace and also asked the members elect to work with each other in the interest of the State, their Constituencies and by extension, the Country.
The Rt. Honorable Speaker of the 9th Assembly who is also a returning member in the 10th assembly who spoke on behalf of the Members elect thanked the Party profusely for the platform to contest and support in winning the elections.
He assured the party leaders that himself and the other 27 members will queue behind Governor Seyi Makinde and work together with him to deliver the good things in Omituntun 2.0.
The Rt. Honorable Speaker assured the party and the leadership that every member of the Party will be treated equally and fairly and the members elect will work with the Party to build a strong political institution.
