Oyo Abulesowo Parapo Commends Makinde’s Handling Of Covid19 Pandemic In the State, Prays For His Quick Recovery

The Oyo state chapter of Abulesowo Quarry Owners Of Oyo state has released a statement to join other Nigerians to wish the executive governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde, a speedy recovery and expressed high anticipation in the governor’s quick return to continue his developmental programs for the state.

In a statement jointly signed by the state chairman of the association, Chief Adekola Asimiyu Olaniyi and its Secretary General, Pastor Fisayo Odubayo, which was made available to Sunrise Bulletin on Thursday, they described governor Makinde as the Awolowo of this era stressing that governor Makinde has exhibited all the traits the late sage was known for by his handling of Oyo state affairs and his leadership style.

Pastor Odubayo according to the statement noted that the governor’s COVID-19 test result was a test on the will and resolve of all Oyo state residents on their preparedness for their unwavering support for the governor stressing that Makinde like Moses in the Holy Bible will lead Oyo state into the promised land.

The association however lauded the governor’s cabinet members especially the honorable commissioner of health, Dr Bashir Bello and the governor’s COVID-19 Taskforce for a tremendous job of keeping Oyo state safe from a larger outbreak of the pandemic despite its close proximity to Lagos state where Nigeria has recorded the largest of confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Pastor Odubayo expressed the association’s optimism in governor Makinde’s fighting spirit as a warrior to defeat the disease like other battles he has won, adding that the governor was well known for his pragmatic and strategic approach to leadership and governance which give rise to the high anticipation for his quick come back by the association.

He stated further that the association on its part has sensitized its members across the entire state by stressing the need for total compliance with government directives and advise from health experts and the World Health Organization (WHO) in a bid to collectively defeat the pandemic.

He assured that the association will continue to be a responsive partner in progress in the ‘Oyo Project’ adding that it is only a matter of civic responsibility for all citizens and residents in the state to support the government so that the government can in return improve on its efforts.
