A leading gubernatorial hopeful on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party,Engr. Seyi Makinde has come down heavily on aspirants particularly from The ruling All Progressive Congress who are promising to continue with the legacy of the incumbent governor Senator Isiaka Ajimobi if they are elected , Makinde said the governor has not done anything, he can learn from.

In a statement made available to Sunrisebulletin.com by the Seyi Makinde organisation and signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, Makinde said he plans to do everything differently because he wants to stir oyo state away from being a debtor state and a state ruled with the milk of human kindness.

The young and dynamic Seyi Makinde remarked that “I still don’t understand why an aspirant will say he’ll continue the regime of sufferings, treating pensioners with disdain, reckless external borrowing, dabbling into our revered traditional institutions, neglecting educational and health sectors in spite of stupendous amount of money accruing to the administration.”

Engr Makinde warned against allowing Ajimobi to choose his successor, noting that Oyo state will be in worse financial bondage especially with the APC aspirants already pledging to continue with his style of leadership, that has brought citizens of the state into dire conditions.

Makinde who was the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, in the 2015 elections, said the problem with oyo state is misplaced priorities bothering on preference for self serving projects rather than care for the populace.
