OPINION: Ibadan Circular Road And SEL VYDRA LIMITED | By Yomi Ojo

One side Journalism or Journalist’s criticism without proper investigative information is killing our democracy and affecting the development of our dear state and country.
If Our journalists in the state rely on the information of the oppositions to make their judgements, it’s means they have been biased and have lost neutrality status.
If a blogger confirmed on the CAC website that the Chairman of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Mr. Mutiu Sunmonu, CON is the same chairman of SEL VYDRA LIMITED, what expertise or past records, are we still looking for, we need to be very serious about the development of the state not political sentiments and media hypocrisy.
Mr Mutiu Sunmonu is also the chairman of San Leon Energy UK and the Chairman of Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank. He was appointed to the Board of Unilever Nigeria Plc. in December 2015. I strongly believe that with his status and experience, we don’t need to fear anything about the company (SEL Vydra Limited) that won the construction of Ibadan Circular Road contract.
When three to four companies or partners come together on a particular project, it is normal to register a new company, The SEL Vydra Limited was co-founded by the contract Financier, Consultant and an engineering company.
All the processes of their coming together is clear to BPP in the state and if our Journalists or oppositions need answers to their questions they should approach the agency for clarification not coming on Radio or Television to criticize the good intentions of the present Government, it’s anti-people and not good for the system.
Finally, if former Government under Late Abiola Ajimobi awarded first phase out of the four phases at 70 billion Naira and present Government under Engr Seyi Makinde awarded the entire road (the 4 phases) @ 132 billion Naira, even with the level of current inflation in the country, we all need to appreciate the present Government for her prudency and ask the reasons behind the 32 kilometers of the road awarded at 70 billion naira by Ajimobi’s Government in June 2017?
Let all the citizens of the state continue to pray for the Governor, our Journalists should also please up their games and take investigative journalism very seriously.
