A gubernatorial aspitant of the Africa Democratic Congress ADC in Oyo State Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan has described the Olubadan of Ibadanland his imperial Majesty Oba Saliu Adetunji as an exceptional leader who has demonstrated emotional and mental strength in the face of daunting challenges.
This was contained in a congratulatory message made available to Sunrisebulletin.com, by the media office of the Igboho born politician, to the Olubadan on the occasion of his 90th birthday commemoration. Speaking further Olaniyan said that the reign of the Olubadan so far has been peaceful largely due to the desire of the monarch to pursue peace in his domain no matter what, saying that the character of the nonagenarian is worthy to emulate, and as such deserves to be celebrated not only on his birthdays, but everyday of the year.
The erstwhile boss of Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency also observed that the oluIbadan is a father to all who has accepted everyone irrespective of where they are from as his children and treats all without discrimination, but with fairness, equity and the fear of God, qualities that has endeared him to many, said Olaniyan who is a fellow of the Nigerian society of engineers.
Olaniyan a philanthropist of note and a frontline gubernatorial aspirant of ADC in Oyo State assures his imperial Majesty to be rest assured that the ADC administration to be inaugurated in May 2019 with him at the helm of affairs will ensure that the place of pride for traditional rulers across the State is restored and accorded with necessary rights, privileges and respect befitting their exalted office.
