By Henry Odeh
The Road Transport Empkoyers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Oyo state chapter, has saluted governor Seyi Makinde for his loudable and giant strides taking so far at repositioning Oyo state among the economic hub of Nigeria through his peoples’ friendly policies and programs that past administrations have made to seem almost impossible.
The publicity secretary of the association, Mr. M. M. Maliq in his goodwill message to the governor and the good people of Oyo state, noted that it is not new in the history of the state to have different governors making very tempting promises that could sway anyone from their personal convictions to support them when seeking for the exaulted office but matching every words with commensurate actions by governor Makinde is unprecedented and has established a new order in Oyo state. He stated that any successive government that may want to attempt deviating from the already laid acceptable standard of practice by governor Makinde will be seeking the wrath of the people because the governor is the true definition of leader who has continued to succeed where others have failed.
He stated that even though Nigeria is faced with so many challenges, the leadership style of governor Makinde has brought about a renewed hope and desire for renewed patriotism, noting that only an enemy of progress will stand in the way of God’s project, urging all class of people including political, civil servants, security operatives, corporate and religious organizations to continue to give maximum support to the adminiatration of governor Makinde in its bid to restore the lost pride of the pacesetter state.
Mr. Maliq therefore, appealed to the people od the state to reward the governor’s kind heartedness and passion for the people with unalloyed loyalty to the governor stressing that even though people voted across different political lines the good works of governor Makinde is being enjoyed by all regardless of party affiliations. He however pledged the full support of the association to the present administration and vow to continue to allign its workability with the agenda of governor Makinde to enable a more cohessive society under the proactive governor.
