Nigeria @58 Olowa of Igbara Oke Oba Francis Agbede calls for unity and peaceful co- existence
The Paramount Ruler and Prescribed Authority, Olowa of Igbara-Oke kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede has called for unity and peaceful co-existence, in his message marking the 58th independence anniversary of Nigeria, signed by Mr. Ayodeji M. Owolabi the chief Press Secretary to his majesty.
The highly regarded monarch noted that unity and peaceful co-op existence are the main factors of our nation building. He stressed that as citizens of this great country, we should come together in oneness, irrespective of our religion and ethnic backgrounds, and work for the Nigeria of our dream.
Oba Agbede thanked God for preserving our country and keeping us together despite the various challenges that have been confronting us as a nation. He said our commitment and determination to succeed in all areas has affirmed that Nigeria has come to stay and there’s nothing anybody can do about that.
The monarch also reiterates his commitment in the continued support of good governance in Ondo State, and enjoined all citizens of the state to support the administration of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN in his efforts at bringing dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
He also expressed hope for the future of the country that Nigeria will be great again, as this current adminstration has made substantial progress in recent times. He appealed to every citizen to renew their belief in Nigeria and urged all to play their parts as expected diligently.
Oba Agbede also highlighted the importance of working together to promote and sustain our democracy and good governance. He therefore called on politicians to be mindful of the country’s future and not to heat up the system as the 2019 general elections approaches.
While congratulating everyone, he enjoined all citizens to remain focus, steadfast and confident for a better Nigeria.
