The National Working committee of the ruling All Progressive Congress, has dissolved the party executives from the ward to the state level in kwara state and have appointed Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa as the caretaker chairman of the party in the state.
The dissolution was announced in a letter made available to Sunrisebulletin.com and signed by the party National Secretary and the National chairman Alhaji Mai Mala Buni and Comrade Adams Oshiomole respectively. The NWC gave reasons for the decision citing irregularities during the recent congresses held in the state, and the activities of certain members of the party who recently called on the ,Senate President Dr.Bukola Saraki to lead them out of the party, in breach of the party constitution.
However, a top APC functionary in Kwara State who spoke with Sunrisebulletin.com, revealed that the decision of the party may not be unconnected with attempts to wrestle the party structure from loyalist of the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, whose relationship with the party has been nothing but acrimonious from the inception of the present administration.
Another informed party member told Sunrisebulletin.com that NWC of the APC took the decision to forestall any embarrassment to the party should the Senate President defect with is followers as been anticipated.
Efforts made to get reactions from the camp of the Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki was unsuccessful.
