My Mission In The House Is To Attract Physical Development To My Constituency – Hon. Adebisi Yusuf Oladeni

The Deputy Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Vice Chairman youth and sports committee and son of famous fuji mystro representing Ibadan South West Constituency I in the 9th Assembly of the legislative chamber, has reiterated that his mission in the Oyo House of Assembly  is to attract visible and physical developments to his constituency where the people have given him a mandate to represent them.

 

The young and vibrant lawmaker made this assertions while speaking with Sunrise news correspondent in his office at the Oyo State House of Assembly, secretariat, Ibadan, on Thursday.

 

He stated that he had one of the best upbringing as a child, he however credited his success in life so far to God, his father Alhaji Adebisi Taye Currency, who always makes his family a top priority even when it clashes with his very busy schedules, as well as the very good people of his constituency.

 

The lawmaker who graduated high school from Hallmark College, Ibadan from where he proceeded to BOWEN University, Iwo, Osun state, to study Hisyory and International Relation in 2011 had his program transfered to Halikma University, Ilorin, Krawa state in 2012 for reasons bothering on comfortablity where he badged his first degree in History and International Relations. After his Bachelors degree, the lawmaker in his desire and quest for more knowledge acquisition proceeded to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo state from where he badged his MBA in Human Resource Management.

 

Hon. Yusuf in the course of studying has however established a successful business for himself. Many joicy job offer were said to be on the table for him from different organizations but for his passion to impact the lives of people particularly those at his immediate state constituency,  turned them down to pursue a career in politics which is believed to be a platform to make meaningful impact as well as attract visible and physical development Ibadan South West Constituency I.

 

Honourable Adebisi apart from his principal office in the house also belongs to different house committees as vice chairman which include;  committee on youths and sports,  and committee on mineral resources.

 

While deliberating on a motion on Youth and Sports during its plenary yesterday, the lawmaker was visibly angered by the poor performance of 3SC Football club of Ibadan and their inability to secure promotion to the topflight league in Nigeria. The lawmaker stated that sport is very lucrative area that if properly explored could create millions of jobs for the teeming youths as well as generate high income for the state such as it obtains in Europe and other parts of the world.

 

He said “imagine the state government investing millions of naira into the ministry every year in its budgetary allocations and getting such near zero results!.” “How could they (3SC) lost such a crucial and determinant match to their opponent like that? it even happened on a neutral stadium! I am very disappointed and we must get to the root of the problem, if the government spends so much on a ministry such as youths and sports i think it is only reasonable to have favourable results, the committee will sit and chart a course to address all the anomalies currently causing retrogression to sports and soccer  in the state,” he said.
