My Commissioner For Youths And  Sports Will Be Under 30 years Old – Seyi Makinde

Engr. Seyi Makinde the Peoples’s Democratic Party governorship candidate in Oyo state has promised youths in the state that his commissioner for youths and sports when he assumes office May 29th 2019, will be below 30years old. He stated this while fielding questions at a youth interactive program organised by the PDP youth wing held in Ibadan, Sunday

Speaking further, Makinde while reiterating the important role youth will play in his administration noted that not only will the youth and sports commissioner be under the 30 years old bracket, all other political appointments associated with the ministry of youths and sports will be held by youths.

Engr. Seyi Makinde whose rising profile continues to be a source of major concern for the ruling All Progressive Congress in Oyo state also stressed that youth leaders from the various local governments in the state will have a say on who gets appointment in his administration. ” We will not just take list of prospective appointees from the elders, I will ensure that youth leaders also participate in the process. ” Makinde assured.

Engr.Makinde who is the Group Managing Director of Makkon Engineering Services, expressed gratitude to the PDP youth for attending the event, He urged them to work assiduously for the success of the party in the coming elections. While responding to a question on how he will ensure that the party’s votes are protected, Makinde said ” Do your part, Mobilize people to the polling units to vote PDP and let me worry about protecting the votes”.

On employment the PDP governorship candidate noted that his administration will provide jobs that will boost the upward trajectory of the youths unlike the present administration whose idea of providing jobs through the YES O program where graduates earn ten thousand naira a months as no been exemplary.

On Education he emphasized that he is a beneficiary of free education, and he will ensure that free and qualitative education is returned to public schools. He also expressed his readiness to make certain that public schools will not have more than 30 pupils per class.
Earlier the Peoples Democratic Party youth leader Asiwaju Adekola Adeoye in his speech declared that the youth wing of the party is totally in support of Engr. Makinde’s candidature, and will do all within the confines of the law to ensure that Engr. Makinde and other PDP candidates emerged victorious.

Among those who accompanied the PDP governorship candidate to the event included Ominie Makinde, wife of Engr. Seyi Makinde, Chief Bayo Lawal Director General Makinde campaign organisation, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Hon. Tayo Sarumi, Prince Dotun Oyelade and other party chieftain.
