The gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde has berated the Nigeria Governors’ Forum for calling Nigerian workers unpatriotic because they asked for N30,000 minimum wage.
In a statement from his campaign organization and signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the PDP candidate said that the Nigerian worker has made more sacrifices to the nation than any governor and asking to go home with N1000 per day should not be treated with disdain but with the milk of human kindness.

Makinde said that the reduction from the Federal Allocation from N800b to about N600b last year cited as reason for their  inability to pay the minimum wage is  untenable because the people have not seen any remorse in the ostentatious lives of the governors, their allies and their contractors.

According to Engr Makinde who has just won another independent poll survey over the weekend as most preferred Gubernatorial Candidate in Oyo state.said that if oyo state government had refocussed it’s priorities to reflect what the people really need and not what government in its own convenience, considers the best for the masses, our resources  would have been prudently spent on the welfare of our people while the borrowed billions should not have been so recklessly disbursed.
