The Executive Governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde has stated that he understood the agitation of some people who felt aggrieved because they are yet to benefit from his government and urged them to remain calm.
The governor made this disclosure during the formal inauguration of the Steering Committee For Oyo State Development Plan held at the executive chamber of the governor’s office on Friday 6th November, 2020.
Governor Makinde noted that those who are yet to get something from government are aggrieved while those who have gotten something feels time is moving too fast.
He said: “It’s 2 years now, that is to those who are yet to get something from government, it is only 1 year and 5 months, they should relax, they will will also get something.
“For those who have gotten something, the time is moving too fast.”
Governor Makinde however assured that despite the fact that the state had no state development plan before, his administration has continued to work assiduously to put the state on the roadmap of accelerated development.
