Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde has presented a Bus to the Arewa Community domiciled at the Sabo,Ward 6 axis of Ibadan North Local Government,Ibadan.
The Governor,who was represented by Mrs Toyin Balogun; the Director of Women Mobilization and Secretary of the GSM’23 Campaign Council lauded the Arewa Community for their contributions to the local economy.
She also lauded their disposition as worthy partners in progress,who have been working hands in glove with the GSM led government to deliver the dividends of democracy to their people as well as their peaceful conduct.
Mrs Balogun however enjoined the Community to reciprocate this good gesture from His Excellency, Governor Seyi by ensuring that the numerical strength of the Arewa Community is brought to bear in the forthcoming elections by voting enmasse for all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The representative of the Arewa Community; Alhaji Danladi who received the gift on their behalf expressed his delight at this gift,proclaiming that with this gesture,Governor Makinde has affirmed his reputation as a Promise Keeper.He also stated that this gift will further enhance their ability to reach and rally all members of the community in support of GSM.
He expressed appreciation for the numerous interventions of the GSM led govt geared towards improving the quality of life of the Arewa Community.
On behalf of his people,he gave a commitment that the Arewa Community will deliver it’s votes for Governor Seyi Makinde and all PDP Candidates.
Mrs Toyin Balogun was accompanied to Sabo by Hon Fairal ( SA Ward 6), Alhaji Mukhtari Inka ( former Councillor Ward 6), Hon Akeem Egbende (Supervisory Councillor/ former Councillor Ward 2), Baba Oyinbo ( Leader Ward 12), Hajia Saadatu Sani ( Vice Chairperson Ward 6 Ibadan North), Alhaja Ige Salau ;Women Coordinator Balogun Makinde Vanguard statewide( Ward 5), Hajia Binta Arewa( North East) and Hajia Mariam Aliyu (North West).
Her team was received by Alhaji Danladi, Alhaji Yahya Dauda ( Chairman Arewa Traders Association in Sabo), Alhaji Sule Atiku a former Councillor in the LG,Muhammed Abdulazeez the Youth Leader alias Capo among others.
