Makinde Approves N8.7bn For Rehabilitation of 45.3km Saki-Ogboro Road

The Oyo state executive council chaired by the executive governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde, has approved the rehabilitation of 45.3 kilometres Saki to Ogboro down to Igboho road, sunrisebulletin.com reports.
The honourable commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Honourable Ojemuyiwa, Jacob Ojekunle made this disclosure on Wednesday while addressing governor’s office correspondents following the decision of the 28th state executive council meeting.
Hon. Ojemuyiwa explained that the total sum of N8.7 billion, (eight billion seven hundred million four hundred and fifty six thousand naira) for the project.
He noted that the project which is to be executed through Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA) has been contracted to Messer CCECC (China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation).
The Commissioner further explained that the contractor which is expected to be complete to complete the project within eighteen months will be mobilized with 20% of the total contract sum by the state government.
