LAUTECH Gives Lamiju Akala “The Most Outstanding Youth Award.”

Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government area in Oyo state Lamiju Akala was today presented with the Most Outstanding Youth Award by the Vice Chancellor of the  Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology, Ogbomoso Prof. Michael Ologunde.

 

The chairman who had gone to the institution to  commission projects executed by 2018/19 Executives of Nigerian Association of Agricultural Students vis-a-vis water project and student relaxation shed.

He Was pleasantly surprised when  the Vice-Chancellor of the great citadel of learning, Prof. Ologunde,  presented him with an award as “Outstanding Youth Ambassador”.

 

Lamiju who is the son of Otunba Alao Akala former governor Oyo state noted that

 

“I wholeheartedly dedicate the award to the good people of Ogbomoso North LGA” he also felicitated with Hon. Afeez Omobo

 

” I congratulate my brother, Hon. Afeez Omobolaji Repete (SA Youth to Executive Governor of Oyo State and Deputy National Youth Leader of APC) for his award in recognition of his immense contributions towards the execution of the projects commissioed.”

 

Lamiju expressed gratitude for the award “My solemn appreciations goes to the leadership of NAAS – LAUTECH, the Dean, the HODs, the lecturers, the non-teaching staff and the great students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences for the recognition”

 

He also singled out the Prof. Michael Ologunde and other principal staff of LAUTECH for special appreciation

 

“My appreciation is incomplete without special mentioning of the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ologunde and the Faculty of Agric. Sciences student liaison officer, Dr. Adetunbi Saheed Ige, for making today a memorable one for me.

 

furthermore, Lamiju remarked that “This latest award is a challenge for me to increase the tempo of my public service delivery and to competently represent my constituency – the Nigerian youth.”
