Just In: Oyo Govt Approves N3.2bn To Complete And Rehabilitate 7.25km Road In Ibadan

The Oyo state government has said that it has approved the of N3.2bn (three billion two hundred and eighty million five hundred and eighty thousand and five hundred and seventy two naira only), for completion and rehabilitation of 7.25 kilometers Idi-Ape Bashorun, Akobo-Odogbo Barrack junction road.

The Honourable Commissioner for information culture and tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun, made this known during a press briefing at the governor’s office on Tuesday.

Dr Olatunbosun, while stating that it was part of its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the contractor to execute the project on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) agreement added that the project will be funded by the state government through Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA).

He noted that the state government also captured in its plan all those whose properties and facilities will be affected during the project execution.

Olatunbosun stated that the state government has also approved the sum of N231m (two hundred and thirty one million naira) for those whose properties and facilities will be affected.

According to the commissioner, the total period of the project completion is eight months adding the project upon completion will improve the state infrastructural outlook.
