JUST IN: Omi/Apata Council Boss Visits Communities, Promises To Consolidate On Mankind’s Infrastructural Development

The newly appointed Administrator for Omi/Apata Local Council Development Area in Oyo State, Honorable Sherrif Adeojo, has promised real developmental projects to consolidate on the remarkable achievements in infrastructural development recorded by governor Seyi Makinde adding that residents and local communities dwellers within his local council area are in for jolly time in terms of leadership by example, improved quality of human life, and delivery of dividends of democracy.

Hon Adeojo made this known while inspecting social facilities erected within the council, he said his team comprising of top council officials decided to go on inspection tour to communities that made up the LCDA in order to have full grasp of the challenges the people are faced with so as to aid adequate planning and proactive measures.

He said “We started our inspection today, we have visited markets, Healthcare centre, Schools and some roads within the council, we could see that all these communities need serious and immediate government attention. Our leader, governor Seyi Makinde has promised every citizen a better life under his administration, he has sent me to be an administrator of this council, and I vow that I will do everything possible to complement his effort by improving quality of life of the people in a modern world.”

The council Boss assured the people of his LCDA that roads connecting the various communities within the area would be repaired to aid rural road connectivity and easy transportation of people and goods from one community to another within and outside the council area.

Adeojo emphasised that Iyana Cele main road would receive immediate attention as it is one of the key roads interlinking the LCDA and other council areas adding that the council will repair the Iyana Cele road linking Kuola with the view of decongesting Apata main road for free flow of traffic and to increase the Internal General Revenue (IGR) for the council.

“If Kuola road is done, people going to Elebu road will easily ply that road, also Wire and cable road to Iyana Faaji, people can access the road to Ologun Eru”. Adeojo stated.

Hon. Adeojo while commenting on his educational plan stated that education is one of the priorities of his administration. He pointed out that, visiting some schools in the council area including Christ Anglican primary school Bakatari and Islamic primary Omi Adio was to have a first hand understanding of the challenges schools within the council are facing.

He promised to liaise with the education stakeholders to provide needed tools and materials to improve the standard of education in Omi/Apata LCDA.

Speaking further, Hon. Adeojo frowned at the dilapidated Primary health Centre that was built for public use but was already in bad state due to poor maintenance culture and has turned to home for reptiles and other animals, he however regretted that the last administration despite ruling for eight years could not make it accessible for people.

“It was built at bola Ige quarters within the owode housing corporation estate ,Owode Apata, it was abandoned, but we can’t leave it like that, we going to renovate and equipped it also we will encourage our people to be using it” he concluded.
