If We Must Disagree Let It Be For Developmental Purposes Raufu Olaniyan Oyo Deputy Governor Elect Charges PDP Leaders In Oke Ogun.

Engr. Raufu Olaniyan the deputy governor Elect Oyo state has called on People’s Democratic Party members in Oke Ogun to shun disagreement that will not translate into development for the region.

 

The deputy governor elect gave this charge Thursday at a PDP Oke Ogun stakeholders meeting held in Igboho headquarters of Oorelope local government, speaking further  Olaniyan noted that ” Our disagreement should always be geared towards the development of Oke Ogun and not for selfish reasons or pursuit of personal gains.”

He noted further that ” Only peace amongst party leaders in the region can birth prosperity and development”. He also stated that ” if  we must disagree let be on how we can revive ONADEP for the development of our region, if we must fight let it be on how we can bring companies to Oke Ogun and improve the welfare of our people”.

 

Speaking in the same vain Hon. Samuel Adejumo who represented Engr. Seyi Makinde governor elect of Oyo state, at the meeting preached “Peace and Unity amongst party  members. Noting that party members “Who had worked to help the party achieved success in the last election will reap the benefits of their hard work”

 

Chief  Jacob Adetoro who also spoke at the meeting  advised all to eschew disunity in Oke Ogun as this is the only way the party members will enjoy the benefits of the recent victory at the polls. He noted that party elders will Work to resolve areas of disagreement among party elders and members. Adetoro said “Lets plead with all aggrieved persons, let us encourage them to see the benefits of peace,  however Oke ogun will unite to fight anyone who refuses to give peace a chance in Oke Ogun PDP.”

 

Hon. Suliaman Lateef aka Santana remarked that leaders should note that Oke Ogun is now a republican, and advised party leaders and elders to limit their area of influence to their respective local governments.

 

The meeting ended with the communique reinstating that all party leaders in Oke Ogun should limit their  sphere of  influence to their local government.

 

Oke Ogun Elders forum to be co- chaired by Pa Jacob Adetoro and Alhaji O.K Salami was also inaugurated at the meeting.  A three member committee was also set up to inteface with aggrieved members who were not at the meeting, so as to resolve whatever might be their grievances.

Baba Adeojo, Baba Sekoni, were among dignitaries at the stakeholders meeting,  others are Alhaji Lateef Yusuf, Alhaji Lateef Komi, Hon. Najeem Omirinde, Baba Alade  all chairman, secretaries, youth and women leaders in Oke Ogun, PDP were also at the well attended meeting.

 

Representative of the state PDP  chairman Alhaji Kumi Mustapha was also present.
