Ibrahim Sulaimon Akinkunmi has expressed his commitment to support Governor Seyi Makinde towards bringing modern government into Oyo town . Hon. Sulaimon made this remarks while addressing newsmen after he was sworn by governor Seyi Makinde at a ceremony that took place at the government secretariat, Ibadan on Monday morning. Speaking further Hon. Sulaimon assured the he will do his best to improve on the internally generated revenue of Atiba local government without making life difficult for the people, so as to implement developmental projects which will enable the people enjoy democratic dividends. He noted that ” it is a pity, the last administration had bastardized the state local government administrations, for complete 8 years, it was family business, no physical development in area councils, but with Governor Makinde, we are set to bring the needed developments, Security, Healthcare, Primary Education, Youths and Women empowerment as part of our cardinal points, all are priority “. The newly appointmented care taker Chairman remarked ” Governor Makinde task us to join him in implementing the roadmap to Accelerating Development of Oyo State, he urged all care taker Chairman and LCDA administrators to contribute their quota to ensure that we move Oyo State forward The Hon. Chairman thanked Iku Baba yeye, Alafin of Oyo for his support, saying, it is important to make use of the old monarch experience in administration of Atiba local government, in Oyo town.
