Hon. Shina Peller 120 Support Graduate Farmers With 80,000 Naira Each

 

 

 

The federal lawmaker representing Iseyi/Kajola/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa federal constituency of Oyo State at the green chamber of the National Assembly under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Shina Abiola Peller, has empowered 120 graduate farmers in the state with over N50 million naira as part of efforts to create employment for the people as well as provide sustainable and decent means of livelihood for the young graduates who may be hoping to get the very scarced white collar jobs.

The graduate  farmers were selected from four local governments comprising the federal constituency which Hon. Peller is representing at the house of representatives, Abuja, and they are to be paid the sum of N80,000 each for every six weeks for upward period of one year in order to provide adequate support for the beneficiaries.

Other categories of Hon. Peller’s financial empowerment program were about 50 people who are into small scale businesses. They also received various items such as power generating sets, hair dryers and beauty equipments, others are grinding machines and barbing accessories among others.

 

The businessman cum lawmaker hosted a large crowd of guests at Iseyin Multipurpose Hall, yesterday, at the inaugural town hall meeting to update and keep the people abreast of his activities at the green chamber. He said the economic empowerment programme is fully in line with his campaign promises to the people of his constituency.

 

He stated that the cash and material gifts within two months after assumption of office, were just a taste of what is yet to come adding that in the next few years, the people will feel the real dividends of democracy after unfolding his programmes under the Shina Ayo Empowerment Programme (SAEP).

 

Peller further informed the gathering that SAEP is currently working on a project titled “Blue print for the development of modern Oke Ogun”, to address the challenges of industrialisation, education, health, and infrastructural deficits facing the constituency.

In attendance were leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, party faithfuls from the four local governments areas,  community leaders, artisans, market men and women, and farmers.

 

The Quilox boss further expressed his appreciation to the people of his constituency for entrusting him and his party with the mandate to represent them in the national assembly, he however promised to do his best in making sure that he improves the quality of life of his people.

He explained that he is currently working on a bill to create a new constituency out of the current one following the drastic growth of population in the constituent as well as the large  landmass available at the four local government areas that make up his federal constituency.
