Farm Crowdy: Oyo Government Commences Sensitization Program, Charges Farmers And Investors To Make Program A Success

The Oyo state government in partnership with Farm Crowdy Limited in pursuit of Oyo state government industrialization agenda towards economic prosperity through agric revolution across the state, has commenced sensitization program of all top officials from the ministry of agriculture in all 33 local government areas in the state.
The Oyo state honorable commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. Ojemuyiwa Jacob Ojekunle while delivering his keynote address at the one day sensitization program which held today at the western hall, state secretariat Ibadan, has louded governor Makinde stated that the sensitization program is key to helping the state government achieve its set objectives on agric revolution in the state adding that governor Seyi Makinde has consistently been supportive of all programs and activities of ministry of agriculture with the aim of recording 100% success.
He added further that farm crowdy and Oyo state government have reached an agreement on data collection for the purpose of adequate planning in the area of local farmers financing, insurance for local farmers, helping local farmers improve on production and returns on investment among others.
The Deputy Managing Director of Farm Crowdy Limited, Mr. Shola Oyawale while delivering his address stated that governor Seyi Makinde is one of the few visionary leaders in Nigeria with a rare economic foresight adding that farm crowdy as a partner to the state is determined and committed to the state agric revolution agenda noting that the first phase of the project which is digital data capturing of farmers details will enable Farm Crowdy Ltd. plan and determine who the real farmers are and their needs towards increased production which will guarantee food security, job creation, and increase in the state IGR.
He stated further that Farm Crowdy is targeting at least 50, 000 (fifty thousand) farmers across the state with the aim of increasing the number at subsequent phases.
The commissioner in his remark stated that governor Makinde has assured all farmers to go back to farm and double production adding that the state government is already prepared to purchase farm produce directly from farmers after harvest with the aim of selling back to the public at subsidized rates, noting that farmers across the state should reciprocate government efforts by increasing production.
Hon. Ojekunle however assured that proper monitoring mechanism will be put in place to ensure that whatever the state government releases to the farmers serves the purpose for which it is intended.
