EXCLUSIVE: Oyo Abulesowo Quarry Owners Gets New State Chairman, Elders Council Commend Makinde For Supports

The Oyo state chapter of Abulesowo Quarry Owners Association of Oyo state otherwise called Abulesowo Parapo, has unanimously adopted Mr Asimiyu Olaniyi Adekola popularly known as Olori odo as the new state chairman of the association. Sunrisebulletin.com reports.

The new state chairman of the association while speaking with journalists shortly after presentation of certificate of return to him in Ibadan on Wednesday by the association’s council of elders said that the body is determined to organize its members across the state for more economic vibrancy stressing that members should now rejoice because days of labouring in vain are over.

Mr olaniyi, however expressed satisfaction with the process that brought about his emergence as the new state chairman as well as the leadership and fatherly role played by members of elders council from all the zones across the state adding that his consensus candidature was a product of unanimous decision by all zonal chairmen and members of the association.

The Secretary general of Abulesowo parapo in Oyo state, Pastor Fisayo Odubayo, in his remark, thanked the executive governor of Oyo state through the of office of the executive chairman of Mineral Resource Development Agency, Mr Abiodun Oni, for its unwavering support towards stability and progress of the association in the state stressing that all was now set for physical progress in the association.

One of the elders present at the event, Alhaji Lasisi Adesina, who expressed joy at the emergence of the new chairman said that the process leading to the emergence of Mr Olaniyi a.k.a Olori odo was a tough one because there were few challenges but admitted that the end result of their decision was a thing of joy.

Alhaji Mukaila Aremu, Baale Alafara, in his own remark stressed that what the association has done was to validate the unanimous decision that was taken about two months ago by formally presenting the new chairman to the entire members in the state.

Another member of the elders council, Alhaji Lukman Adeyanju, who is the chairman of Oyo zone as well as the state treasurer of the association, said that all the 33 local government chairmen approved of Mr Olaniyi’s chairmanship, he prayed that God grants the new leadership wisdom to improve on the lot of the association.

Mr Wale Adeyemo, the chairman representing Ibarapa zone at the event who also doubles as the state assistant secretary, expressed satisfaction with the emergence of the new chairman and urged all members to give maximum support to the association’s new leadership.

The Chairman of Ologuneru/Gbopa zone, in his comment affirmed the association’s unanimous decision and preference for Mr Olaniyi alias Olori odo as the new chairman, stressing that all hands must now be on deck to take the association to greater heights.

Several other leaders and elders of the association who spoke with journalists at the event, affirmed that Mr Olaniyi alias olori odo’s emergency was a collective and unanimous decision by all members of the association stressing the need to henceforth, work as a team in order to enhance its economic fortune while helping the state government achieve its drive for an improved internally generated revenue (IGR).
