Engr. Raufu Aderemi Olaniyan a governorship aspirant in Oyo state under the auspices of the Africa Democratic Congress ADC, yesterday joined Muslims faithfuls in prayers to mark this year eid kabir celebrations and to also pray for peace in Oyo state and Nigeria.
The retired permanent secretary in the Oyo state public service with members of his immediate family observed the eid prayers at Igboho praying ground, Igboholand, oorelope local government area.
In his brief sermon, the chief imam of Igboholand Alhaji Muhammad Mudathir Muhammad Awal Oloola who led the prayers urged Muslims faithfuls to divorce themselves from acts that are inimical to the teachings of prophet Muhammad ( SWT) as contained in the holy quoran. And to pray regularly for peace not only in Oyo state, but the country.
Also at the prayer ground to mark this year eid kabir prayers with Olaniyan was the Onibode of Igboholand Alhaji Abdul Rasheed Adetoyese Jayeola Anikulapo III.
