Engr. Raufu Aderemi Olaniyan has urged Muslims to continue praying for the peace and stability of Oyo state and Nigeria, noting that it is only in a peaceful situation that true developments can take place, while asking them to also persist in well doing especially in this season of eid kabir
The African Democratic Congress gubernatorial hopeful in Oyo state, stressed that the essence of this festivities should never be relegated in our daily lives, as it signifies a deep sacrificial act that has become of immense benefits to mankind, he called on all to follow the example of prophet Ibrahim whose trust and faith in Allah was unequivocal, he advised that all should exhibit the same manner of trust, faith and confidence in Allah.
The Igboho born politician further said, as 2019 general elections approaches we should be willing to commit ourselves to the necessary sacrifices that will ensure that the elections are peaceful and rancour free, he however noted that though no human system is perfect, but if we all play by the rules and be tolerant of our various political views all will be well.
Olaniyan, an accomplished engineer and a fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, who retired as a permanent secretary in the Oyo state civil service, also called on the people to take advantage of the on going voters registration been conducted by INEC, as their PVC’s is the key that will unlock a better future, that the ADC has promised.
The former Boss of the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency, also felicitated with all members of the Africa Democratic Congress, wishing them a fruitful eid celebrations, while also commending them for the peaceful manner they have conducted themselves with the on going party registration exercise.
Olaniyan who is a successful business man and a philanthropist of note, also expressed gratitude to the people of Oyo state for coming out enmasse to register as members of the Africa Democratic Congress, he observed that the party is poised to take the state to another level of infrastructural development and provision of quality health facilities. General overhauling of the educational Apparatus in the state, this will be made possible by increase in budgetry allocation to that sector.
Olaniyan who is renowned for his administrative prowess said, the budgetry increase will take care of the needs of the teachers that lays the proverbial ‘Golden Eggs’. He also stressed that the dignity of the Public Service will be restored for efficient service delivery, while Agriculture will also receive a massive boost under an ADC administration in Oyo state.
Engr.Olaniyan who is the chief executive officer of Westmidland Construction company Ibadan, also wished all the leaders of the party at various levels a happy eid el kabir celebrations.
