The Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde in an executive letter sent to the state house of assembly through the Rt Hon Speaker, has urged the legislature to honour the late Commissioner for environment and natural resources, Rt Honourable Kehinde Ayoola following his immense contributions to the legislative arm of government in the state.

The Speaker, Rt Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin while reading the letter at the floor of the house during its Tuesday’s plenary described late Hon Ayoola as a very friendly and peaceful man who was full of life and always available to help others who sought his assistance.

The immediate successor of late Ayoola as Speaker of the 4th assembly and the present Minority leader of the 9th assembly, Rt Honourable Ashimiyu Alarape in his very passionate and emotional eulogy described the late Commissioner as a seasoned politician with great intellectual prowess who made indelible mark as lawmaker and first Speaker of the 4th assembly.

In a sharp twist, Hon Alarape rendered a special rendition on the floor of the house in honour of the deceased and prayed that God grant his family, governor Makinde, the people of Oyo town and the entire state the fortitude to bear the irredeemable loss.

However, the house observed a minute silence in memory of the late former Speaker while lawmakers took turn to give a piece of their hearts and expressed their grief over the demise of late Ayoola.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon Ogundoyin however assured that the house will in accordance with its practice honour the deceased with a befitting legislative burial and as well hold a valedictory session for him.
