CORONAVIRUS: Oyo SSA To Gov Makinde On SDGs, Kunle Yusuf Discloses Collaboration With Ministry Of Health

The Senior Special Assistant To Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mr Kunle Yusuf (MON), has lauded Oyo state civil servants on the sit-at-home order by the state government.

The SSA who made this commendation on Friday (today) while speaking with governor’s office correspondents on the level of compliance by the workers noted that such cooperation from them will help the government to achieve the purpose of the stay at home order.

Mr Yusuf stated that he was in the office to perform certain essential assignments adding that the SDG office in Oyo state is currently working collaboratively with the State Ministry of Health in different capacities that are geared towards curbing spread of COVID-19 in Oyo State otherwise called coronavirus.

He said such collaboration with the ministry of health include capacity building and training of health workers in effective management of the situation so that those health professionals working in the field to curb spread of the dreaded disease would not end up contracting it and becoming victims.

He urged residents in the state to ensure 100% (one hundred percent) compliance with personal hygiene and other standard precautionary practices even as he affirmed that the compliance level in the state is very impressive.

He lauded governor Seyi Makinde on what he described as a swift response
by the governor and the state task force on COVID-19 which has kept the state safe from any further record of the pandemic apart from the only one recorded so far despite its proximity to Lagos state which is the worst hit in the country.

He assured that the state government under the leadership of governor Makinde will continue to place the highest premium possible on security of lives and properties.
