The Chairman of the Forum of Heads of media to Deputy Governors in Nigeria George Kushi has felicitated with the entire Muslims in the country over the Eid el Kabir Sallah celebration. The Chairman in a press stament made available to news men enjoined all muslims to commemorate the festive period in strict compliance of the safety guidelines on social distancing so as to curb the spread of the Coronavirus which has almost paralyzed the world as a pandemic.
Mr Kushi called on leaders to intensify efforts geared towards ridding the country of the numerous security challenges bedeviling the Nation.
The chairman posited that ” leaders owe us a duty to ensure that we revert back to the peaceful days when Sallah was celebrated with festivities without fear over insecurity. The people should also embrace peace and to learn to coexist in harmony”
The Chairman also called on all Heads of Media in the country to ensure that information is properly disseminated to the public on the need to remain safe while also calling on religious leaders to preach rightly in order to foster unity amongst the populace.
He also revealed that all members of the Forum of the Heads of media to Deputy Governors in the Country have resolve to work towards the enhancement of security measures that will continue to strengthen harmonious relationship and peaceful coexistence in the country.
