BREAKING: Suspended Caretaker Chairmen Apologise To Oyo Assembly, As House Upholds Suspension

The suspended 13 local government caretaker chairmen in Oyo state have sent a letter of apology to the Oyo state house of assembly and urged the house to rescind its suspension slammed on the erring chairmen to enable them carry on with their saddled responsibilities at their various local government councils.
The council of caretaker chairmen blamed inability of the suspended chairmen to submit the required earth moving equipments reports to the house on administrative lapses.
In the apology letter singed by all the affected caretaker chairmen and read by the Speaker of the house, Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin, during it’s Tuesday’s plenary sitting, the suspended chairmen affirmed that the administrative lapse leading to their suspension was not deliberate or an attempt to undermine the powers of the legislative arm.
The chairmen, however appealed to the house to tamper justice with mercy and reconsider its earlier stance on the suspension.
Ogundoyin, in his remark noted that the house will love to know what manner of administrative lapse led to the suspended chairmen not yielding to the request of the house.
He therefore, referred the letter to the house committee on local government and chieftaincy matters and ordered the committee to report back to the house during it’s next plenary sitting.
