Bashiru Lawal, Nureni Adisa rejects Zenith Labour’s Senatorial Tickets. Pledges support for Lanlehin

Sunrisebulletin.com can exclusively report that Arch. Bashiru Lawal and Hon. Nureni Adisa, both strong stalwarts of Senator Rashidi Ladoja, former governor of Oyo state, have rejected the senatorial tickets given to them by the Zenith Labour party, for Oyo North and Oyo South respectively.
Sources closed to the duo had reliably informed this newspaper that there appeared to be a crack in the Senator Ladoja political family with the decision of Bashiru Lawal and Nureni Adisa not to join other loyalist of the former governor to dump the Africa Democratic Congress, for ZLP.
A telephone call by Sunrisebulletin.com to Bashiru lawal who was a former Chairman of Saki West local government, and also former Oyo state chairman Accord party, confirmed what our sources told us.
When asked if it was true that he was offered the Zenith Labour Senatorial tickect, He said ” yes, but I have rejected it” he also noted that ” I remain in ADC with Senator Olufemi Lanlehin” he said in response to the likelihood of him leaving the party.
On his part Hon. Nureni Adisa former chairman Ido local government, and former National Secretary Accord said he is not aware that he was given the SenatorIal ticket for Oyo South by the Zenith Labour party, he said this in a telephone conversation with our correspondent. With that the former commissioner in Oyo state could not be asked if he rejected what he is not aware of.

However, our sources revealed that both men had initially accepted the offer, but only threw in their letter of rejection to the leadership of the ZLP today, while pledging their support for the ADC gubernatorial candidate Senator Olufemi Lanlehin.
As the crisis in ADC deepens its still unclear if Senator Ladoja will dump the party for ZLP, what is definite however is that most of his loyalist will be contesting the 2019 elections on the platform of ZLP
